SnehaCares, USA

SnehaCares is anon-profit organization registered under 501(c) (3) in the United States. Its mission is to start vocational centers for young adults living with HIV in Bangalore.Sneha Charitable Trust has partnered with SnehaCares to set up vocational centers on the Snehadaan Campus in Bangalore. SnehaCares financially supported the construction of 1,700 square feetbuilding for the candle making unit, called theShineOn Candle Making Unit. This first vocational center was successfully inaugurated on August 13, 2017. Since then, more than 300,000 candles have been moulded at this unit for various occasions. Candles for exhibitions, weddings, baptisms, conferences etc. moulded in elegant designs and infused with fragrant oils are in high demand. Six young adults with HIV living on the Snehadaan campus work here and have made this unit their haven. They research, experiment and create designer candles and are flourishing to be experts in candle making.On September 8, 2018,

Sneha Charitable Trust and SnehaCares partnered to launch a second vocational center, Shiloh Tailoring Unit, for young women infected with HIV.Six young women who live on the Snehadaan campus have learned to make beautiful canvas bags with applique work, Warli paintings, and woven Zari borders. They are also venturing into new products like Christmas ornaments. In addition to providing financial support,SnehaCares hasprovided ongoing support for the well being of the young adults who work at the two units.
